About GMI

Mission Statement

Transforming, giving hope, and rehabilitating needy and vulnerable communities by initiating social-economic activities, life skills through education, training, counseling, and creating social issues awareness.

A transformed, skilled, empowered and self-reliant community.

GMI began its activities in 2013 but officially incorporated as a 501c3 in 2017.

GMI was started with the objective to transform the lives of street families. This vision evolved to provide education to the street children and empower their mothers to become self sustainable through their Inua Mama program. GMI then spread out to work with underprivileged communities on the northern part of Kenya that practice female genital mutilation.
